Maccabi Hunter Haifa, the 2016-17 Israeli Basketball Super League runner-up, announced today they have released shooting guard Luke Martinez. Martinez, 27, appeared in eight games (seven starts) for Maccabi Hunter Haifa this season and averaged 8.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists while shooting 33.3 percent (14-for-42) from three-point range in 18.9 minutes.

Dagan Yivzori Injury Update

Yivzori was examined Saturday by the Maccabi Hunter Haifa medical staff and underwent an MRI on his right knee.  The MRI revealed Yivzori suffered a partial tear to the medial collateral ligament (MCL) during last Wednesday’s game against Herzliya. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard is expected to miss six to eight weeks.

The Greens and Klil Brighten Spirits at Rambam Children’s Hospital for Hanukkah

As part of the Green’s annual visit to the Ruth Rappaport Children’s Hospital in Haifa, Maccabi Hunter Haifa and Klil brought holiday cheer to young patients and their families to celebrate Hanukkah. Head Coach, Offer Rahimi, was joined by team captain Oz Blayzer, Dagan Yivzori, Guni Israeli and Luke Martinez as well as Klil staff
