Maccabi Hunter Haifa, the 2016-17 Israeli Basketball Super League Runner-Up, announced today that they have agreed with Hapoel Jerusalem for the loan of point guard Roi Huber for the 2017-18 season.
Huber, 20, appeared in 31 regular season games (16 starts) for Hapoel Holon last season while posting averages of 3.1 points on 50 percent (16-for-32) shooting from downtown along with 1.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 12.5 minutes. In four playoff games against Maccabi Haifa, Huber averaged 5.0 points on 57 percent (4-for-7) shooting from three-point range and 2.8 assists in 16 minutes per game.
The 6-foot-2-inch guard has helped guide the U20 Israel national team to the Final of the U20 European Championship in Greece while averaging 8.9 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 26.6 minutes over 7 games.

During the 2015-16 season, Huber played in 26 games for Ramat Hasharon in Israel’s second division and averaged 10.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists while shooting 47 percent from three-point range.
A native of Kefar Saba, Huber began his professional career during the 2014-15 season with Hapoel Kefar Saba/Kohav Yair where he averaged 9.7 points, 3.5 rebounds. 4.2 assists and 1.1 steals in 31 games.
