Greens captain, Oz Blayzer captured a lot of moments with his Instagram account, we gather you all the exciting moments of the season, the happy and the hard, from the point of view of the captain.

Our captain started the season with the Israeli National Team, which played a few friendly games in Europe with a youthful roster.

After starting the Greens’ training camp, he spent some time shooting the Winner League’s season promo with Sport 5.

Before the league started, Blayzer and the Greens flew to the US to face the NBA’s Sacramento Kings.

 

After a slow start to the season, the Greens overcame Kiryat Gat on the road, 75-69, to notch their first win of the season. Captain Blayzer recorded a strong final quarter, as he finished the game with 16 points.

 

Between the games and the practices, the captain took part in the viral Green Mannequin Challenge.

In Game 15, Blayzer and the Greens traveled to Gan Ner and registered one of their largest wins of the season, 94-73, over Gilboa/Galil. The Captain recorded an impressive double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. Blayzer set career-highs in points and VAL (39).

 

One of the most significant moments for Oz this season happened at home and not on the court…He proposed to his future wife.

In April, Blayzer was named to the 2017 Israeli Winner League All-Star team.

The Greens secured the eighth seed in the playoffs in the last game of the regular season.

After earning an amazing 3-1 series win against Holon, the Greens advanced to the Final-Four. Captain Blayzer averaged 14.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in 33 minutes per game in the quarterfinals.

The Greens ousted Maccabi Tel Aviv in impressive fashion, 85-74, at Menora Mivtachim to advance to the Israeli League Final. Blazer contributed 9 points in 36 minutes.

After a Cinderella run in the playoffs, Maccabi fell short of their ultimate goal as they were downed, 83-76, to Hapoel Jerusalem in the Israeli League Final. The Greens finished the season as the 2017 Israeli League runner-up.

After a memorable and hard-fought season, even the captain deserves a few days off. See you next season!
