Maccabi Hunter Haifa announced today that Ido Kozikaro will not return as team manager for the 2016-17 season.
“It’s been a privilege to work with a legend like Ido Kozikaro. We thank Ido for his years of excellent service to this club as a player, a captain, a leader on and off the court, and as team manager,” Maccabi Hunter Haifa team owner Jeff Rosen said. “Ido will always be a part of our Maccabi Haifa family. We sincerely appreciate all that he has done for the team and the community. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
Kozikaro served as team manager for two seasons for Maccabi Hunter Haifa. The five-time All-Star averaged 7.1 points and 5.4 rebounds in 125 games played (including playoffs) over four seasons with Maccabi Haifa, winning his first Israeli Super League title in the 2012-13 season. The 38-year-old also won the Balkan League Championship with Gilboa / Galil and the ULEB Cup Final over Real Madrid as a member of Hapoel Jerusalem.
