The Greens four-game winning streak was snapped by a red-hot Hapoel Tel Aviv team at Drive-In Arena. The Reds of Tel Aviv shot the lights out of the ball, burying 54 percent (14-of-26) from three-point land as Haifa was downed 85-74.  The Greens seemed to be a step behind because of Hapoel Tel Aviv’s excellent ball movement (25 assists).  Haifa trailed Tel Aviv throughout the entire game, but came within two points in
the third quarter, however, they could never get over the hump.

John DiBartolomeo kept Haifa in the game, draining 4-of-5 from downtown for 12 points on the evening. Hapoel had 5 players who scored in double-figures, led by Raviv Limonad’s 18 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Former Haifa power forward Jeff Allen notched a double-double on 10 points and 13 rebounds for Hapoel.

The loss dropped the Greens to 8-6 on the season, as Haifa now shifts their focus to the State Cup Semifinals against Maccabi Tel Aviv in front of an expected sellout on Saturday, January 9 at 8:10 pm at RK Arena.
