Maccabi Hunter Haifa today accepted the request of the assistant coach, Tomer Steinhauer, to leave his position at the club.
Steinhauer, who served as assistant coach of Ofer Rahimi for about a year and a half during which he arrived with the team in the season 2016/17 until the Final Four final, and the last half-hour served as assistant to Barak Peleg on the lines.
Steinhauer, 52, is one of the greatest players in the history of the Maccabi Haifa Hunter basketball club. He is ranked 8th in the all-time scoring list of Maccabi Haifa (1,514) and 14th in the Premier League with 5.253 career points.
“We thank Tomer Steinhauer for his time at the Maccabi Haifa Hunter basketball club,” said Jeff Rosen, owner of the Maccabi Haifa Hunter basketball club.
Earlier, Barak Peleg and Tomer Steinhauer arrived for the team’s training at the Romema Stadium. The two parted from the team players and the club members and wished them success later on.
