The 6-foot-3 swingman from Argentina will make Aliyah
The Maccabi Hunter Haifa Israeli professional basketball team today announced that they have signed Argentinian-Israeli guard-forward Juan Bergel for the 2018-19 season. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

During the 2016-17 season, Bergel tallied 12.5 points on 40.0 percent shooting from downtown and 2.7 rebounds for Central Entrerriano Gualeguaychu.
The 6-foot-3 swingman is a prolific three-point shooter who has spent his entire 10-year professional career playing in Argentina.
“Juan is a seasoned veteran who provides 3-point shooting and ferocious defense,” said Jeff Rosen, Owner, Maccabi Hunter Haifa.
“Juan’s ability to play multiple positions, coupled with his championship experience, makes him a great addition for our club,” said Head Coach of Maccabi Hunter Haifa, Barak Peleg.
A native of Santa Fe, Argentina, Bergel will be making Aliyah – becoming an Israeli citizen – for the 2018-19 season.
