Maccabi flew south to Hapoel Eilat last week and suffered a 77-75 defeat — the team’s six straight loss. In Barak Peleg’s debut as head coach, Maccabi played well defensively throughout the contest. However, in the final minutes, the Greens let their advantage slip away as Eilat used an 11-0 run to eclipse Haifa. Dagan Yivzori recorded 14 points on a great shooting night, along with Zach Graham and Trevor Gaskins who scored 14 points apiece.
Barak Peleg: “I was very pleased with the attitude of the players in the game against Eilat. I felt that everyone wanted it very much and was willing to sacrifice. Despite the difficult situation that we are in, as long as coaches and players stick together, we will face the challenge. One of the things we are all committed to is that the team remains united.”
Oded Brandwein: “We worked very hard in practice and believe that tomorrow we can do it, especially in front of a green and full Romema.”
Let’s Do it Again
