Maccabi Hunter Haifa took advantage of the holiday Tu Bishvat on Wednesday morning by paying a visit to the “Regavim” Special Education school in Haifa as part of the club’s Haifa Hoops for Kids program. Students from all over the north with special needs, ages 12-21, study at the “Regavim” Special Education school located in Haifa.
ceremony with the students as a part of the Tu Bishvat holiday. The student prepared an in-depth presentation for the players, which included a Q&A session. Rodriguez and Baruch spoke to the students about teamwork and the importance of supporting one another to achieve a common goal.
“The children showed us a lot of love,” Rodriguez said. “It always warms my heart to see the students so happy.”
“I am very grateful to the Maccabi Hunter Haifa players as it was very important that the students meet with the players,” said Ido, the school principal. “It was very exciting to see how well the Maccabi players treated the students and how the players reacted to the meeting with us. I hope this amazing tradition will continue for many years to come.”
